Silico Overview
Silico is a Decision Intelligence Platform that lets organisations connect data, actions and decisions. Silico is provided as a SaaS application that comes in three main functional parts:
1. Silico Sync
Silico sync provides refreshable data connections to time-series data from a variety of Enterprise sources, including common file formats, and via a REST endpoint. Datasets are uploaded into Silico as two-dimensional Data frames from which data series are made available to the simulation model developed in Silico Studio.
2. Silico Studio
Silico Studio provides a powerful no-code Simulation modelling framework and simulation tools leveraging the System Dynamics simulation paradigm. Systems Dynamics is a widely-used, general purpose simulation paradigm for modelling the behaviour of complex systems over time using stocks, flows, internal feedback loops, table functions and time delays. Silico Studio is used by individual modellers, large organisations and academic organisations for modelling challenges ranging from Hospital A&E departments, to Sales Pipelines and Marketing funnels and Social Dynamics.
3. Silico Portal
The Silico Portal provides visual insights into the simulations undertaken in Silico Studio via interactive dashboards and automatic AI decision recommendations.
Deployment
Silico is typically deployed for pilot and production Enterprise deployments as a single-tenant managed SaaS application. Silico also hosts a shared, multi-tenant managed service for use by individuals and smaller organisations. Custom deployment options, including on-premises deployment, are available on request.
In all deployment models, data is always encrypted both at rest and in transit. In managed service offerings, all services and databases are run in highly-available configurations.
Data Integration
Silico Sync has been designed to integrate with standard Enterprise Data Sources, including data lakes, data warehouses, and standard ETL workflows. A REST endpoint for transferring data into Silico Sync is provided as standard, with custom data integrations available on request.
Data Export
Together, Silico Studio and Sync support the export of generated simulated data, either through the UI or programmatically via a REST API for integration into other applications. Custom Data Export functionality is available on request.
Data Science Integrations
The simulation models developed with Silico Studio can be compiled and exported, enabling them to be run directly within programming environments, such as Python data science workbooks. Currently supported languages are JavaScript and Python. Other language targets may be available on request.
Data Security
All data is securely encrypted at rest and in transit.
