Silico offers different types of account, which grant various extra functionality or additional limits to usage.
Tiers
Community Tier
Community tier is the baseline account tier, and is the account type granted when registering for free. The community tier offers full access to all core modelling functionality, but is limited in a few ways:
- Limit of 1 private project
- Limit of 100 total projects (across private + public, can be raised upon request for free)
- No access to paid features
Academic Tier
The academic tier is available upon request to anyone using Silico for non-commercial purposes at an academic institution, i.e. for teaching and research. You can apply for an academic account from within the application (after registering a free Community account) from the subscription tab of account settings.
- Limit of 100 private projects (raised upon request, for free)
- Limit of 100 total projects (across private + public, can be raised upon request for free)
- No access to paid features
Professional Tier
The professional tier is our individual paid offering, available on a monthly or annual subscription.
- Limit of 100 private projects (raised upon request, for free)
- Limit of 100 total projects (across private + public, can be raised upon request for free)
- Access to paid features
Enterprise Tier
The enterprise tier is an offering for organisations to use Silico across teams and whole organisations.
- All paid features
- No limits on project creation
- Multi-user organisations with fine-grained access control
- Additional Explorer account type, granting streamlined access for business and executive users.

Paid Features
Silico currently has a number of features only available to those on a qualifying tier (detailed above).
- Export of model data to CSV.
- Export of project simulation as a JavaScript file, enabling integration into external projects.
